We help individuals and small organizations document online incidents, perform lawful OSINT research, and package evidence for banks, platforms, and authorities. We are not a law enforcement agency.

Who's involved
All casework and investigative decisions are Daniel Upperman's alone. An Executive Assistant supports scheduling and client coordination, but never casework.

We conduct lawful intelligence research and incident documentation for online scams, impersonation, harassment, malware incidents, and related digital threats. Our reports are designed to support fraud disputes, platform takedowns, police reports, and legal review.

Who runs this
Daniel Upperman — Founder
I'm Daniel Upperman. I started GhostTrace in 2026, after watching how easily people get taken online: a fake invoice, a message from someone pretending to be your boss, money that goes to the wrong account and never comes back.
The casework is mine alone. When you email about a case, I'm the one who answers, and I'm the one doing the investigative work — that hasn't changed as the practice has grown to include an Executive Assistant handling scheduling and coordination.
That means I'm careful about what I take on. I don't research people, I don't run background checks, and I'm not a private investigator. What I do is help you understand what happened, get it documented properly, and figure out what to do next.
